A blog is born

For those who know a bit about the internet, it may seem strange to start a blog on a site that is already, technically, a blog. ToyTalk is built on the excellent TypePad platform (which is blog software) but it has never been run as an actual blog – a series of diary-like entries.

I’ve used TypePad simply because it is very easy to get to grips with and allows for extensive customisation of the look of your site. Frequent visitors to ToyTalk will have noticed how the site has developed over the years, from a very basic layout at the beginning to a rather more sophisticated look today (and don’t think I’ve finished with the tweaks just yet).

But as ToyTalk has moved further and further away from a conventional blog layout, I’ve been thinking that a conventional blog would be a great addition to the site. So here it is.

In the ToyTalk Blog I will be freer to express opinions and discuss topics that might not warrant a full story on ToyTalk, but which will hopefully be interesting. I may digress at times (that’s what blogs are for) but I promise to keep this blog toy-relevant!
